10 Times Kevin Durant was an Absolute Mess on Twitter

Kevin Durant is well-known for engaging with fans and colleagues on Twitter. The 34-year-old forward that recently joined the Phoenix Suns, is no stranger to a good back and forth. The future Hall of Famer has had drama with Shannon Sharpe, Michael Rapaport, Kendrick Perkins, and many more.

Durant also was caught using burner accounts to respond to people who criticize him on social media when he responded to a fan but forgot to switch accounts.

Durant acknowledged the error two days later, saying, “I have another Instagram account, but that’s just for my friends and family. So, I wouldn’t say that I was using it to clap back at anyone. I use Twitter to engage with fans. I think it’s a great way to engage with basketball fans. I happened to take it a little too far. That’s what happens sometimes when I get into these basketball debates about what I really love, to play basketball. I don’t regret clapping back at anybody or talking to my fans on Twitter. I do regret using my former coach’s name and the former organization that I played for. That was childish. That was idiotic, all those type of words. I regret doing that, and I apologize for doing that.”

It is safe to say that Kevin Durant is an absolute mess on social media, and today we look at some of his epic blowups and clapbacks.

Durant had a funny comeback for a fan who tried to make fun of him for joining the Golden State Warriors. Many considered the move by the future Hall of Famer to be taking the easy way out.

Durant seems to enjoy the power he maintains over the fans ability to earn money by betting on his performances. In this exchange with an NBA Fan, KD says this is payback for the years of slander he has endured.

6 Durant Responds to Kendrick Perkins

In one of his most epic responses on Twitter, Kevin Durant responded directly to criticism from former teammate Kendrick Perkins. I don’t think Kendrick ever recovered from Durant pointing out that he only averaged 2 points and 3 rebounds per game as the Thunder’s starting Center.

5 KD Shoots his Shot at Rihanna

Durant Asks Rihanna for a Happy Birthday

Durant has many tweets thirsting after Rihanna, so it wasn’t surprising to see him wishing for a birthday shoutout from the recent Super Bowl Halftime performer. It was surprising to see the Barbadian superstar respond. She maintains that she is completely on #TeamLebron. Sorry Kevin.

In a puzzling and random Tweet, KD said he wanted a sip of bath water of Scarlett Johansson. He recently posted an update on BathWaterGate, saying he no longer wants any as she is married.

3 KD Oversharing on Twitter

I guess Durant was bored when he woke up early to tell people he thought he had messed up his bedsheets. This is a classic case of sharing too much information, but at least it was funny.

Kevin Durant Feuds with Michael Rapaport on Twitter

Things got heated between actor Michael Rapaport and Kevin Durant after the actor revealed a series of direct messages he got from the NBA superstar. Durant had little choice other than to apologize after the profane language went public. “I’m sorry that people have seen the language I used,” Durant told reporters. “That’s not what I want people to see or hear from me.” The NBA also fined Durant for the exchange.

Durant attempted to call the exchange harmless banter, but Rapaport disagreed.
